The February meeting will be held Saturday, February 9th at 9:00 am at the home of Rob Shepler. Rob lives at 9866 N. 1st Street in North Phoenix, (602-377-7785). The topic is Polyurea Pond Liners. Please bring your own lawn chairs. Directions: From the northwest/northeast: I101 to 7th Street exit, south on 7th Street past Thunderbird to Mountain View, turn right to Central Ave., right on Central Ave past gate, right on E. Foothill Dr, right on 1st St. From the south/east valley: North I17 to Dunlap exit, east on Dunlap to Central Ave., left on Central Ave. past gate to right on E. Foothill Dr, right on 1st St. |

The January meeting was held at the residence of Clyde and Rita Parks. It was a night meeting and quite a few members were in attendance despite the cold. Clyde and Rita put on a spectacular Christmas light show, choreographed to music. The speakers discussed lighting in the garden and pond. Rita served a sumptuous buffet and Clyde spoke about his two ponds (one for goldfish and one for koi) as well as a meditation garden dedicated to a deceased friend. A few of his leopard frogs even made an appearance. |
